PROJECT TITLE
North ST No.5
DESCRIPTION
Located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, a 3-storeys unit is crafted into dwellers’ pursued lifestyle. The interior design prominently integrates and manifests the dweller’s hobby of accessories collection. Vertical planes that are generously covered with dark-hued lustrous marble, corresponding with the soft-hued horizontal planes, structure the entire inhabitable space.
In terms of materials, marble is substantially expressed. Its soft, delicate, and unpredictable veins give this unit elegance and glamour. The distinctive colour also brought a sense of character to this particular space. Translucent material was adopted on one side of the living space to humbly reveal the owners’ collection.
Stepping in the kitchen, it embraces a similar dark-hued marbly language that echoed with the cold-coloured wood materials. The chosen palette visually set up a chilly ambiance for the space. Two essential operation blocks were introduced and split via the arrangement; harmoniously consolidated to define the kitchen space.
The private sections of the unit replicate a dark-hued envelope too but establish new wall materials. The chosen wall materials incorporate geometry that psychologically brings congeniality to the space, while the cushion panels are introduced for better acoustic and tactile experiences.
